The puppies are one week old! Daisy is a good mother dog as I suspected she would be but we’ve given up on moving them out from under our bed. She keeps on nudging them back. We're still in the process of naming them. The sole black (female) I named Shadow. My daughter named the white with black spots male puppy Spooky, because the spots on his back look like a ghost face. My husband suggested Tiger for the brown and black male. We still have no name for the all white male puppy, the white and tan male puppy, the white with black spots female or the black with brown stripes female. Suggest away! I’m in the process of putting the word out for adopting these little guys.
True story...my sister had my mom's dog "Comet" when my mom was out of town. My sister at the time had a dog name "Pinky" and she was in her front yard at night with both dogs and was calling them in but used their nicknames "Commie" "Pinko". She said she called the nicknames a few times and realized what she was saying and then wondered if any neighbors heard her....lol
For those who might not know, Pinko is a term coined in 1925 in the United States to describe a person regarded as being sympathetic to communism, though not necessarily a Communist Party member.
This post came in under Amy's Newsletter, but the title is Navigating the Dystopia so I almost got confused on that! I just very publicly signed up with BMC, and got it up and running, so it is a good option (if you are not in Russia!)
We just live in a very dark transitional period as freedom is being reduced to a punchline.
Now on to those adorable doggos, I'm thinking on names. Suggestions: Oreo, Powder, Bramble, Franco, Ava. That's all I got for now.
