Navigating the Dystopia
The puppies are one week old! Daisy is a good mother dog as I suspected she would be but we’ve given up on moving them out from under our bed. She keeps on nudging them back.
We're still in the process of naming them. The sole black (female) I named Shadow. My daughter named the white with black spots male puppy Spooky, because the spots on his back look like a ghost face. My husband suggested Tiger for the brown and black male. We still have no name for the all white male puppy, the white and tan male puppy, the white with black spots female or the black with brown stripes female. Suggest away! I’m in the process of putting the word out for adopting these little guys.
I’m still trying to figure out what happened to a bunch of my free subscription people on Substack. I’ve run afoul of animal rights types in the past sometimes, but I have difficulty believing that I posted something so controversial that 70% of my subscribers dropped me overnight. I’m still trying to track down my one paid subscriber, who also disappeared. The payment from Stripe went through before, and I haven't gotten an email from them. This could be related to me having two newsletters, which was an accidental thing that happened on my second post when I wanted to share it on Twitter. I don't even know which newsletter this will post under. Being logged into my dashboard, I don't see the same things that outsiders do. I might have to contact substack and figure out how to unite my two newsletters. I’m still hoping I can find the subs somewhere on here. It might just be a technical issue, but in the current censorship heavy culture, I get a little paranoid. Note: when I went to post this, I discovered that Stripe has disabled payments on my account. I tried to reverify myself but seem to have a technical problem. Argh!
So I’m testing this out. Does anyone want to name some puppies? Can you spot the chicken? Is this under Amy’s newsletter or Navigating the Dystopia? I think I need to sign up for Buy me a Coffee. I probably should open a Bitcoin wallet. Donations accepted at $AmySukwan@cashapp.com. I’ve got hungry dogs to feed!
True story...my sister had my mom's dog "Comet" when my mom was out of town. My sister at the time had a dog name "Pinky" and she was in her front yard at night with both dogs and was calling them in but used their nicknames "Commie" "Pinko". She said she called the nicknames a few times and realized what she was saying and then wondered if any neighbors heard her....lol
For those who might not know, Pinko is a term coined in 1925 in the United States to describe a person regarded as being sympathetic to communism, though not necessarily a Communist Party member.
OMG they are so sweet! You must be having so much fun with them.
