I don’t think I’ve seen the sun since Friday morning before the clouds rolled in. Thankfully we’re at a slightly higher elevation so we’re not flooded per say but looking at the satellite there is no end in sight to this monsoon weather. Is operation Popeye at it again?
Perhaps that is why I’m loving this beautiful ballad by Shinedown called Daylight:
That had me listening to the rest of their new album and going back to two Shinedown music videos that I played like crazy a little after my husband Oh died. The two productions are obviously related but like the Killer’s pair “Mr. Brightside” and “Miss Atomic Bomb” they seem to be two interpretations of events happening on around the same timeline. It’s funny how the videos have somewhat different meanings depending on what order they are played in.
It’s starting to feel like I’m going to have to fly back to Las Vegas to see the sun again. Can they start seeding the clouds over Lake Mead instead of here? Why do weather ops have to be deployed for evil?
Oh heck I am sorry bout too much rain, I think 'mankind' is kinda like my cousin who used to pull the legs of spiders, just to see what happened. I was horrified at that when I was 8 years old and I am still horrified. An affront to life, but the base reason is just a stupid young boys morbid curiousity combined with the ability to operate high tech aircraft. It is a bad combo; what would convince you to poison your own airways and waterways with chemicals? I mean really, who does this shit? So effing wrong.
