Covid and the State of the Union

amysukwan.substack.com

I'm not someone who usually tunes into the Presidential US State of the Union address, but this time I had to peruse the transcript. I was curious what Joe Biden's speechwriters had him say about the whole Russia/Ukraine thing, and is Covid really over? In America anyways now that the shiny new prospect of war has given the virtue signaling masses a new direction to channel their herd instincts. But won't all these sanctions cause the price of gas and wheat to rise even more? And wouldn't World War 3 be, I don't know, bad?

Most of the speech looked good on paper but felt curiously disconnected from reality. Jeff Childers at Coffee and Covid was sure that President Biden would use this opportunity to declare victory on the pandemic and drop it in the memory hole before people start noticing all of the bodies piling up from the safe and effective jabs. Yet that's where the speech hit the most chilling tones.

“We will never give up on vaccinating more Americans.” President Biden assured us. I consider that a threat. Can somebody explain this unholy obsession with getting as many jabs in as many arms as many times as possible to me? The so called vaccines are useless in the long run and the most dangerous in history. Why hammer home this point? Covid went away because we started ignoring it.

There's no worries though if somehow those useless vaccines prove to be even more impotent against the next pandemic, because Joe Biden is sure that next time “we'll be able to deploy new vaccines within 100 days…”. If someone at the NIH patented the sequence for a fuzzy new bioweapon in advance, I'm not sure why it would take that long. Why don't we just mass jab everyone the next week? Of course in the event of this unfortunate but profitable occurrence, “we'll have new stockpiles of tests, masks and pills ready…”.

Of course victory was declared over Covid. “We achieved this because we provided free vaccines, treatments, tests and masks.” Joe Biden intoned. So you see, the Science has won. It's like we're watching the greatest debacle in world history be rewitten in front of our eyes. Even worse, virtually every pandemic measure is just waiting in the corner to be dusted off for the next Sars/Mers/Ebola/Smallpox to be brought right back again. Life remains hostage to public health authorities.

I wish we lived in a time where I could ignore the nonsense emitted from the mouths of these folks, but lately those proclamations have the power to cause damage in my personal life. So I suppose it's better to have an idea what they're up to. Unfortunately it sounds like much of the same.

Do you think we're headed towards war? I'll run my zodiac predictions on it next…
